Teething is a common health condition when baby’s teeth erupt. Medically teething age is also known as odontiasis.

Around 4 to 7 months old teething age starts in babies, and then they may have “teething baby symptoms.” The entire teething age takes two to three years approximately, in which babies can face a lot of discomfit health issues.

Especially a few first couples of teeth can irritate the baby a lot than rest others. It is all up to nature’s wish that it allows upper or lower jaw for teeth set to come and majority babies get lower jaw for the first couple of teeth.

Naturally, there are some teething symptoms that parents should recognize for knowing what to do when teething starts?

Teething baby symptoms that you must know:

  • Disrupted sleep time day/night
  • Inflaming/swelling gums
  • Dribbling mouth
  • Lack of hunger
  • Mouth rashes
  • Increased temperature
  • Continued diarrhea
  • Biting/rubbing solid things
  • Ear rubbing

All the above are teething symptoms that are medically confirmed. If your baby is facing any of these health situations, then don’t worry. It is a natural condition that we have all faced once. It is not necessary that every baby should face each and every symptom because these all are optional.

Certainly, babies experience different teething symptoms, but the most common teething symptoms are lack of hunger and gum irritation.

A teething symptom may last for a few days until a single tooth arises completely. There is no need of any tension for teething age. It will be completed around two to three years, and on each tooth, your baby will experience a teething symptom anyhow.

Toddlers normally face adaptable discomfort by few days before tooth outbursts by the gum line. Few toddlers bothered with the migration of tissues between deep to the gum line. It happens rarely and just because of the unusual shape of molars.

In this particular age, babies love to chew so, it would be better for giving them anything semi-solid like rubber piece, soft toy, and teething ring. By chewing, they feel counter pressure on gums that makes them relief from gum-aching on a certain teething area.

You may give him your clean finger, a wet towel, and a soft wet toothbrush (without toothpaste). As he/she will rub, then automatically will feel counter pressure that brings relief very soon.

Coldwater:

A soft rubber feeder with icy water can reduce gum ache in the teething age. Make sure your baby is above six months so, you have already introduced him water, and he is not bothered with asthmatic problems.

Few parents wont to give feeder to their babies; no problem, then they are allowed to give some ice-free cold water in a plastic cup.

Frozen foods:

Frozen foods like yogurt, applesauce, and peaches are also few tested foods that give complete relief in teething. Hey! Wait, please, we are not suggesting you give all the above-frozen food for the very first time but introduce their taste in normal temperature later give them in frozen condition. Keep in mind never give frozen bananas, plums, and grapes, this way, you will increase the risk of choking.

Baby safe feeders are the best option for introducing frozen foods to your baby. Also, notify the season you have; never offer frozen foods in winters.

Pain relief medication:

Conceptualize if you are trying too many remedies, but still, your baby is not feeling comfortable? I think it is time to go to your family pediatrician ask him/her for some acetaminophen. Surely your doctor will guide you better for this teething alternative.

Signs that are not linking with teething baby:

According to some pediatrician oftentimes, parents come to them with vomiting complaints in teething age. Well, vomiting in teething is controversial; there is no more scientific clue that vomiting is a teething symptom.

Rather than vomiting, if your little one is having fever, loose motion, runny nose, or wheeze, then make sure these are not signs indicated teething. Do not take these symptoms lightly, especially if they last for more than 24 hours.

Still, some grannies admit that these are teething symptoms, but in reality, there is no more medical prove between teething and these health issues. According to the American Academy of a pediatrician, loose motion and high fever are not teething symptoms.
