Pubescent skin is not only for teenagers but sometimes babies can be bothered with this exclusive problem. Despite the majority, babies are having sleek and soft skin but still, there are many cases in which babies are having acne in their faces or other body parts.

In medical term, baby acne is a common and temporary skin condition that often rises on babyface. It looks like redish or whitish smallest pimples. Commonly baby acne is not treatable and it goes without treatment within a certain time.

Difference between infantile acne and baby acne:

Baby acne is also known as neonatal acne but different from infantile acne and 2% newborns may face this skin issue temporarily.

Mother hormones circulate in baby’s blood from pregnancy to even after a few months of birth. The maternal hormones promote inactive oil-producing glands and bring popup pimples on babyface.

As the baby’s skin is softer, smoother and sleeker so, there are no more chances of developing skin pores. In this case, it is easy to target particular areas of the baby’s body for dirt infiltration and other marks.

Treatment:

Unless baby acne is such an unpleasant skin condition and caused by hormonal changes, but still they are untreatable. According to doctors, baby acne is not much harmful and painful for babies.

Normally infantile acne disappears shortly but it may take a long certain period hardly. 6 months to a year is the longest time period for infantile acne while 2% of babies can experience acne until their teenage.

In a few cases, infantile acne baby dermatologists can prescribe antiseptic, antibodies or other scar preventing cream as treatment.

Prevention:

As we already know that maternal hormones are responsible for baby acne though there is no more significant chance for prevention. Whatever! there is good to have something than nothing. Nevertheless, still, a few strategies can work better and prevent your baby from dense acne within 3 to 6 months.

  1. Do not use oil skincare products on your baby.
  2. Observe each and every product that you are using for skin and for diet. Some types of fragrances and oils many increase baby acne randomly.
